Flowers for a Summer Garden Wedding
I’m kind of a sucker for a rustic barn wedding. Heidi and Henry’s wedding was held at Lucy’s Garden in Ridgefield, WA. Heidi wanted more of a wildflower look to her bouquet. There are so many summer blooming flowers at Lucy’s Garden, she wanted her flowers to compliment the beautiful gardens.
I used locally grown wildflowers, grasses and dahlias along with roses, chrysanthemums, scabiosa pods, astilbe and waxflower in the bouquets. I love how the dark foliage at the base of the bouquets frames the the flowers.
For the reception, Heidi chose a DIY option and purchased dahlias and baby’s breath in bunches from me and created the centerpieces herself. I love the literary theme of the tables. I think they turned out beautifully!
