It’s not often that I get to do a Christmas wedding with all the trimmings-red and white flowers, holly, berries, pine and cedar greenery. Dan and Heather’s wedding was all of that PLUS it had touches of Disney throughout. I had so much fun working with Heather to make her vision come to life.
The wedding took place at Oak View Acres in Canby, OR. This rustic space was transformed with christmas lights, trees and poinsettias.
The guests were greeted with large calla lily and rose arrangements complete with lighted branches.
Heather chose a cascading bouquet with calla lilies, roses, holly, berries, pine cones and curly willow branches.
The bridesmaids carried round bouquets with all of the fun Christmas-y elements.
The centerpieces featured cranberry filled vases and lit branches.
The sweetheart table arrangement included gorgeous Piano garden roses and white lilies.
The cake was one of my favorite elements! They brought in the Disney theme with a Mickey and Minnie Mouse cake topper. I added a bit of Christmas with the rose and holly groupings.
Happy one year anniversary to you Heather and Dan and thank you for allowing me to participate in this fun wedding!
Annie and Tyler were such a cool, down-to-earth couple to work with. Their elegant summer wedding featured bold red, white and black colors with rustic touches for a classic look.
Annie’s bouquet featured anemones, roses, dahlias, lilies, a bit of babies breath and curly willow branches. The black feather accents and sparkly pins gave the flowers that extra special touch.
The bridesmaids’ bouquets featured red gerbera daisies.
I love the outdoor area at Summit Grove Lodge. Everywhere you look it’s just beautiful!
For the reception, beautifully simple centerpieces with floating flowers and black table accents. The curly willow branches incorporated into all of the wedding flowers gave them that rustic touch perfect for the venue.
Congratulations Annie and Tyler! I wish you many happy years to come!

As I look out the window at the cold, blustery winter day, I am reminded of the most beautiful springtime wedding. I don’t think the weather could have been more perfect for this classic and elegant wedding. Jamie, the bride, had a beautiful vision for the style of the ceremony and reception-a Downton Abbey-esque look with touches of vintage gold. I fell in love with the colors too-buttery yellow and white with lighter, springtime greenery. The following photos are courtesy William James Photography unless otherwise noted.
Jamie is just breathtaking in this dress from Sincerely, the Bride.
The ceremony was held at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas, WA.
These bouquets could have come straight from a Downton Abbey wedding!
The Royal Oaks Country Club in Vancouver, WA set the stage for the elegant reception. Look at all the wonderful vessels and mirrored trays Jaime collected for the centerpieces! Milk glass, gold and clear glass-so many beautiful pieces!
Congratulations to the beautiful couple and thank you for allowing this florist to be a part of your special day!
Rossana and Nick had such a beautiful wedding at the elegant Empress Estate in Woodland, Washington. Soft colors of powder blue, pink and peach added to the dreaminess of it all. The following photos are by Orion’s Eye Photography unless otherwise noted.
The wedding was filled with beautiful details. One of my favorites was Rossana’s sweet little dog who walked down the aisle and wore a floral collar of pink roses and baby’s breath.
This arch turned out to be one of my favorites of the year-so lush with the garland and roses! The ceremony took place in one of the Empress Estate’s new ceremony areas among the towering pines. It’s just breathtaking.
Safely under the tent, the reception held more romantic touches with silver accents.
Congratulations Rossana and Nick and thank you for allowing Chickabloom to be a part of your special day!
This past spring I had the opportunity to participate in a venue open house and photo shoot at The Country Garden Estates in Yacolt, Washington. This new outdoor wedding and event space is so gorgeous! There are so many spots for beautiful photos and the bride’s room is spacious and elegant. Definitely check it out if you’re looking for an awesome place for your wedding.
For the first time, Pantone (the company that chooses color trends) has chosen 2 colors of the year for 2016-Rose Quartz and Serenity. The first time you see these colors together you might think of a baby nursery, but they are beautiful colors to put together in flowers.
Liz and Nick were very on trend with the colors they chose for their backyard wedding last summer. The soft blue complements the blush pink perfectly.
Liz’s bouquet was filled with blue delphinium, pink and ivory roses, dahlias, snowberries, lisianthus, succulents and eucalyptus greenery.
Nick’s boutonniere featured a succulent accented with hypericum berries and eucalyptus.
Here’s the delicate corsage for the mother of the bride.
The fabulous team at Luxe Event Productions put together the beautiful backyard wedding.
The ceremony took place on the deck. I added flowers to the existing garden arbor.
I love these birch bark containers that add a touch of rustic elegance to the centerpieces.
What cool vintage dishes and the beautiful cake.
Congratulations Liz and Nick! It was a pleasure working with you and providing your wedding flowers!
Brittany and Cody’s wedding was so creative–from the bold blue, white and silver color scheme to the imaginative touches. The bride had so many fun ideas for the wedding flowers!
A huge thank you to Bella Lucia Photography for sharing these beautiful photos.
These beautiful dyed roses (yes, they’re real) had such an impact!
The guests threw blue and white rose petals on the cute couple after the ceremony.
The head table flowers really made a statement with underwater blue roses and blue glass stones.
Simple and elegant centerpieces with blue chrysanthemums.
The bistro tables
A small accent arrangement with dahlias, roses, delphinium, bachelor buttons and silver greenery.

Best wishes to the happy couple and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful blue wedding!
Jaclyn and Michael’s wedding was the grand finale to a wonderful wedding season. The Summit Grove Lodge in Ridgefield, WA was the perfect backdrop for the lush ivory and blush pink wedding flowers and decor with its amazing indoor and outdoor spaces. To achieve the look Jaclyn was going for, I used a lot of ivory hydrangea, ivory roses, pink Sweet Avalanche roses, and eucalyptus.
The focus of the ceremony area was a custom made floral monogram filled with white carnations and roses.
One of my favorite details of this area was the unity lantern. By the way, all of the rental in this wedding including the lantern are from Something Borrowed Vintage Rentals.
Inside in the reception area, flowers were placed everywhere. Jaclyn even placed eucalyptus up on the beams for an extra special touch.
I love the glass urns what were chosen for the centerpieces. So elegant!
An extra special area was the sweetheart table and mantle. I incorporated Jaclyn’s cool animal skull into the flower arrangement for the table and used draping greenery to decorate the mantle.
I also loved this vignette by the stairs that included a garland and groupings of flowers.
And lastly, what an absolutely amazing cake by Simply Sweets!
This wedding was one of the highlights of my summer. A wonderful experience from beginning to end with a beautiful result. Thank you and congratulations Jaclyn and Michael!
Katie and Jude’s wedding was one I had been looking forward to all summer. They chose to have an intimate wedding in their own backyard and it was perfect. Jude built the wedding arbor for the ceremony (along with other cool backyard projects). The whole event was stylish and cool-just like the couple. The colors were navy, berry, and ivory. Take a look at these beautiful photos from Sikora Photography.
Katie’s bouquet had lots of variety with dahlias, Quicksand roses. carnations, veronica, viburnum berries, pepper berries, cream garden roses, nandina and ferns for that Pacific Northwest vibe.
Jude’s boutonniere was a collection of berries, a rose and greenery.
The centerpieces were all similar, but with something different in each one. Some had artichokes, some red grapes, some red pears.
Thank you to Jude and Katie for allowing me to be a part of such a special day! Looking back at these photos reminds me how much I love what I do and what an honor it is to provide wedding flowers to so many great couples on the most important day of their lives. <3 <3 <3
